About the event

Dear witches, we would like to warmly invite you to our final ever COVEN OVEN! And what better festival to end it all than the festival of endings and death - SAMHAIN - the most important celebration in the witches calendar.

It marks the mid way point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice; the turning into the dark part of the year. It’s a celebration of all things dark and mysterious and a time to remember those who have gone before. Come and honour the thinning veil with us!!

On Sunday 3rd November we will be holding a Samhain ritual workshop from 4pm till 6pm. We’ll share our extremely accurate historical knowledge about this ancient festival, learn about (and ingest) a magic seasonal herb, do some gentle rituals and make a special Samhain craft item for you to take home! To top it all off we will be serving up a delicious spooky snack and magical drink to whet the ole whistles.

All food and drink provided will be vegan.

Just to note that this celebration will have some focus on death and grief, as well as magic and mischief. You are always welcome to participate as much or as little as you like, and if you want to have a chat about this beforehand please get in touch :)

We are really excited to be returning to Grow Wilder for this event. Their beautiful six acre site demonstrates the value of nature for wellbeing, wildlife and food growing. The event will be largely undercover but we will also be having a little move around the site.

Accessibility

This event is happening at Grow Wilder, we will be in ‘The Pod’, a converted polytunnel, which is undercover and has a small step down at the door. The paths around the site are varied, some paved, some woodchip. There is disabled parking at the site - please let us know if you would like us to reserve you a space. There is an accessible toilet within 30 metres of the Pod. Please get in touch if you have any access needs.

Getting to the site

Please use the main entrance on Frenchay Park Road. There are loads of ways to get to Grow Wilder and we would encourage sustainable transport! There are plenty of spaces at the site to lock bikes. Grow Wilder is on the following bus routes: M1, M2, 48a, 19 and Y4. The Metrobus is only 10mins from the city centre: it is 1 stop from Cabot Circus to Grow Wilder (Begbrook). If you are driving please try to share cars as much as possible and park at Begbrook Social Club, which is very close.
